Performing at Cellofest
The Cellofest philosophy is one of inclusion and encouragement - the concerts are a testament to this. We provide a variety of performing opportunities for every student:
Solo Recitals: Every student has the opportunity to perform a solo if they wish. There are two recitals a day - younger students perform in the morning and older, more advanced students in the evenings. All participants attend the recitals to support each other and be inspired by the exceptional performances. Your teacher will be able to help you prepare for the recital and guide you in choosing an appropriate piece. Your performance must be highly polished, from memory and should reflect the very best of your playing.
Variety Show: On the last night of the course, students, parents and teachers are invited to perform in our fun and lighthearted 'variety show'. Acts can be no more than 2 minutes each and must have maximum entertainment factor! Items often include comedy, singing
Final Group Concerts: The last day of the course is dedicated to celebrating every child's achievements at Cellofest. Students perform what they have been working on in the various classes. From the vibrant 'Whizz Pop Bang' performance of enrichment classes to the beautiful ensembles and playtogether performance, we all go home feeling proud of ourselves and inspired for what we can accomplish next time!
Showcase Performance: Every student participates in this grand finalé! It encapsulates the spirit of Cellofest and is the perfect ending to our exciting course.
