Alison McNaught (UK)
BSc ARCM

As a child, Alison was taught by William Pleeth and later, after receiving a degree in philosophy and mathematics at the University of Sussex, she studied with Christopher Bunting. For many years in London she was the resident cellist with Nomos, a chamber group specialising in twentieth century music for small chamber ensemble. Whilst in London she started the first British Suzuki cello teacher training course and is a qualified Teacher Trainer. Since moving to Cambridge, she taught the cello privately and at King’s College School. She continues to play as a freelance cellist and double-bassist. Any spare time is spent on the tennis court.
