What to Bring

For the Classes and Concerts:
- Instrument, stool/chair, spike-holder, rosin, music stand (book 4+) and pencil– Please label all these items with secure name stickers. Parents don’t forget your instrument too!
- Music books, printed copies of any music you have been sent (book 5+), note book and pens. Please note that printed music for Suzuki repertoire is not to be used in class at any level.
- A Watch to make sure you are on time for classes!
- Piano part (If you are playing a non-suzuki piece in a solo recital)
- Dress code – Be Yourself! Cellofest is a relaxed, casual course but if you enjoy dressing up – please do!
- Final showcase costumes: This year’s theme is CelloFEAST including the teddy bears picnic and celebrates FOOD! You are invited to dress accordingly for the final showcase! (e.g. teddy bears, cakes, ice-cream, lollipops, oranges, potatoes, chefs, Beatles/John Lenon, Strawberries)
- Don’t forget your Teddy Bear!
For your comfort please bring:
- Toiletries including hand soap – nothing is provided in the en-suite/shared bathrooms so bring everything you need.
- Towels
- There is no need to bring bedding as this is provided, but you may wish to bring a spare pillow if you prefer to use two. If your child wets the bed, please bring a waterproof sheet.
- Umbrella and waterproof jacket / Sunglasses, hats!
- Travel mug and water bottle for your hot and cold drinks.
For leisure you may like to bring:
- Tennis racquets and balls, football/volleyball, and exercise/sports kit.
- Bike or scooter (to explore - there is also some distance between houses, lessons and the concert hall so transport is useful!)
- Drinks and snacks (to share with other parents in the evenings, but please keep any alcohol out of sight and reach of children).
- Costumes and props if you want to perform in the Variety Show!
