Venue
This year the course will return to The Royal Hospital School, which occupies a magnificent site on the banks of the River Stour in the Suffolk countryside. We have use of their excellent range of facilities including the residential boarding houses, tennis courts, fitness suite, and games field. The school itself has a long tradition of musical excellence and provides a state-of-the-art music school and concert venue.
Accommodation is in the school boarding houses and is a mixture of 1 – 4 cabin bedded rooms, some with shared bathrooms and others with en suite facilities. We also have some large dormitories available which suit larger families. Teenagers can share bedrooms with friends but families will never be asked to share bedrooms with others.
Classes are held in the school's teaching rooms with concerts in the purpose built recital hall. Meals are provided in the canteen style dining room. Each boarding house has a communal room for socialising in, TV rooms, as well as a kitchen for making drinks and snacks. If you have any queries regarding accommodation please contact our housekeeping coordinator.
We strongly recommend you bring bikes or scooters in order to explore the extensive grounds and surrounding countryside. They will come in very handy in getting back and forth from the different areas of the site. Here is our suggested what to bring list.
